2.41 sees the implementation of a new feature in 'Seer's Eye' which is available via the level 40 jellyfish node. Seer's Eye is an inventory item that, once acquired, will allow players to review every puzzle that they've already solved.
The primary purpose is to allow a review of the back catalogue of solves without the need for an alt account. There are some connections across the gameboard that go beyond the individual attractors, and Seer's Eye might help players to see them and, perhaps, solve another puzzle or two.
Unlike an alt account, you'll also be able to solve puzzles without affecting the solve statistics or your own individual solve count. And whilst I don't seriously expect anybody to 're-solve' puzzles for fun, the possibility exists. Speed run anybody? :D
Finally, on 2.41, we did think about opening this feature up earlier in the game than level 40, but it's probably more useful late game and the view is that is unlikely to be super helpful unless you're pushing '1%' type puzzles.
2.5
Looking ahead to 2.5, we're working on some new puzzles for the diatom attractor that will follow on from 'huh?'. And if you have any ideas for player puzzles, then please get in touch as well. So long as you're on the public leaderboard, the idea re-uses an existing puzzle format in some way and feels right for the gameboard (highly subjective I know!) then the chances of having your own puzzle published are pretty high.
enigmatics
In other news, it's great to see wyfio breaking into the top 15 most liked puzzles on enigmatics – and I don't know of a better index of internet puzzles / online riddles than enigmatics.org. It's also a privilege to be sitting alongside some real heavy hitters of the genre - check it out :)
wyfio :)
Until next time...
